  Sugar Plum Cottage will be delighted to receive your order and whilst we much prefer to daydream about yummy cupcakes, vintage lace dresses and daffodils we do have to tell you the following. By checking the box on the order page you are acknowledging that you have read and agree to the following terms and conditions.


Please place your order by adding items to the shopping bag. Once you have finished shopping, you will proceed to our checkout facility. Our payments are managed by Paypal but you do not need to be a registered user of Paypal, you can pay using your debit or credit card and Paypal will process the payment on our behalf. However, if you prefer to use another payment method, please contact us. You will receive an email from us when we receive your order and again when it is dispatched.


We currently post our items out free of charge for orders placed within the UK and generally use Royal Mail. We endeavour to process your order within one working day and all items are posted first class. Most items arrive within two working days but you should allow five working days for delivery before contacting us. If you require quicker delivery, please contact us for a quote. If you require international delivery, please contact us for a quote. 


All payments are taken in Pounds Sterling. The price you pay will include VAT for all deliveries within the European Union. For deliveries outside EU, VAT will be deducted from the total price. Delivery to non-European countries may result in import duties payable on receipt of the goods. You will be liable for these duties.


As we use Paypal as our preferred payment, we do not have access to your financial records. We do not store your personal information and only use your address via Paypal to process your order. We use your email address to keep you up to date with your order progress and we may send offers via email but you can unsubscribe from this service by contacting us.


This website sets performance cookies. These cookies collect information about how visitors use a website, for instance which pages visitors go to most often, and if they get error messages from web pages. These cookies don’t collect information that identifies a visitor. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. It is only used to improve how a website works.

Damaged/Faulty Goods

All our items are fully inspected prior to dispatch. If your order is damaged or faulty on receipt, you must contact us within 48 hours of receipt. 

Returns and Refunds

If you are not happy with your order (not including damaged and faulty items), we do offer a full refund process. Your item must be returned to us unused in it original packaging within 14 days. Return postage is the customer’s responsibility and to guard against loss, we recommend returning your item via a tracked delivery method. Refunds will be processed within 48 hours of receipt. We accept no responsibility for goods lost in transit when returning goods.


As a distance seller, we are obliged to offer our customers a cooling off period. You can cancel your order up to seven days after receiving your order. A full refund will be processed once we receive your returned goods. In the case of cancellations, customers are responsible for the cost of return postage costs and we recommend that these are sent back via a trackable postal service, as we cannot accept responsibility for any items not received.

Product descriptions and images are listed with care and accuracy. Some slight variations in colour and dimensions may vary due to differences in batches.


If you are planning a large event, please contact us as we will do our very best to offer a discount. To claim any advertised discounts, you must enter the promotional code at the checkout.
